This tour will be guided in english.

Why did the women of Dalarna need their own walk-in closet? How did farmers in the 1700s think a crocodile looked, and how did a small painted wooden horse become a symbol of all of Sweden? These are some of the questions answered during this tour through the museum's most popular exhibitions. We tell the story of the people, craftsmanship, and progressive spirit that have shaped Dalarna throughout history and continue to resonate today.

This tour is designed for those who want a light-hearted introduction to the exciting and rich history of Dalarna.

The tour lasts about 45 minutes and begins with an introduction in the entrance hall, followed by a walkthrough of the exhibitions: Dressed in Dalarna, Dala Painting, and Dala Horses.

This ticket grants admission to Dalarna Museum's exhibitions for the entire day and participation in the "Memories from Dalarna" tour at the specific time indicated on the ticket.

Children/youths aged 0-17 enter free with an accompanying adult, but remember to book a ticket for them as well.

If you have an annual pass to Dalarna Museum, choose the "annual pass holder" ticket type to receive your discounted price.
